Fostering

We're fostering six baby puppies and their mom.  They came to us at two days old.  Sadly, one passed away and now we have six.

Pictured is Franz.  He and his siblings, one other male and four females, turned six weeks this past Thursday.

In two weeks, two of the puppies will be going to a foster home in NJ.  I'm keeping two that have leg infections until that clears, but I'm not sure who will be fostering the last two.  I'm going to be heartbroken when it comes time to hand them over to someone else.  We've been through so much together.

Mom is going to stay with us to learn how to be a dog, as opposed to just a puppy factory.  She isn't housebroken, she doesn't understand stairs, and she doesn't know any commands.  Right now all she wants is cuddles, and I'm eager to give that to her, uninterrupted by the demands of the puppies.
