...but I'm reading this book and it gives me hope. This is about recognizing that our smallest actions have a large impact; that life is fractal; that the micro is a complete representation of the macro. Brown applies this theory to social justice and movement-organizing, which is the part that gives me hope. She sees a better world, and it looks a lot like the better world in my own head and heart.
This is required reading for a Mindfulness facilitator training I'm starting in March, along with a book by Brene Brown, and our choice of poetry. And while I'm eager to begin, I can't help but panic - I'm exhausted! How can I do this important work if I haven't slept since 1992?
Whatever. It's not worth worrying about. I'ma let that nonsense go.
Anyway this book is awesome.
